Make a Joyful Noise

Just returned from our kids' primary (elementary) school where I made a presentation to the whole school assembly. This month's Christian value is creativity and I was asked to help the kids experience awe and wonder at the amazing creativity in the ocean. We looked at four areas where we see God's creativity: diversity, size, sound, and colour. The kids especially were amazed by the sounds. I found a great website where you can listen to many marine sounds.

I really like Psalm 148 which makes clear that it is all creatures that are praising God.

⁷ Praise the Lord from the earth,
    you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
⁸ lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
    stormy winds that do his bidding,
⁹ you mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
¹⁰ wild animals and all cattle,
    small creatures and flying birds,
¹¹ kings of the earth and all nations,
    you princes and all rulers on earth,
¹² young men and women,
    old men and children.
